Marie Engelsen Launes joins Eidesvik

Our new Commercial Environmental Manager:

For several decades, Eidesvik ASA has been a pioneer for increased sustainability and reduced emissions in the shipping industry.

Now, the company is further strengthening its focus on green shipping by employing Marie Engelsen Launes in a newly created position as Commercial Environmental Manager. She will be a driving force for innovation and sustainability and will drive commercialization processes from idea stage to realization. She will also play a central role in the operationalization of the company’s growth strategy and the commercialization of Eidesvik’s solutions within energy optimization and new technologies.

Launes joins Eidesvik on August 1.

She comes from the position as Director Public Affairs in Maritime CleanTech, a world-leading cluster for clean maritime solutions, and has previously been communications manager at Wärtsilä in Norway. The 41-year-old has a degree in communication and marketing from Napier University Edinburgh.
