When Eidesvik used its first gas-powered (LNG) ship in 2003, it was a milestone for both the shipping company and the entire offshore industry. Viking Energy has proven to be an incredibly reliable ship. Viking Energy's success motivated, and in 2009 we built Viking Lady. An advanced vessel with fuel cell in addition to dual-fuel engines on board, which can use both LNG and diesel. The ship received great attention at the UN climate conference that year. In 2013, we extended the boundaries again by installing the battery pack onboard. This made Viking Lady to the world's first commercial offshore vessel with full hybrid hybridization. Later we have and hybridized Viking Energy, Viking Queen and Viking Princess. And probably the world's most environmentally friendly. Boundaries can be moved. We do it!
